Apple and banana cake

A simple and aromatic cake with orange juice becomes a good apple and banana cake. You can choose the quality of the apple that you prefer, but it has to be sweet and slightly acidic to balance the sweet aroma of the banana. You can enrich your cake with pine nuts or slivered almonds or chopped hazelnuts, if you like.

Ingredients for a good apple and banana cake:

300 g flour 00
200g caster sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup apple juice
1/2 cup of olive oil
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
2 apples
2 bananas
1 lemon

Peel the apples and bananas, slice them and sprinkle with lemon juice.
Whip the eggs with the sugar until they are white and foamy, add the yeast to the flour, then blend it a little at a time to the egg and sugar, alternating with olive oil and apple juice. Grease a baking sheet 24cm, sprinkle with granulated sugar mixed with flour (you only need half a tablespoon each) and pour the mixture in. Arrange the apple slices and bananas on the surface, after being drained from the lemon juice and sprinkle with a tablespoon of sugar; cook in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes. Before you pull it out from the oven, test by inserting a clean toothpick in the center of the cake; it will come out dry if the cake is thoroughly cooked. Let it cool, then pull out and serve dusted with icing sugar.
